Like any family business, the Byllings had been keeping a close eye on where they saw the companies going in the future. “Recent changes in the Danish agricultural market had resulted in a dramatic shift in farmers’ requirements to the feedmill,” Henriette explains. “So we made the decision to sell the feed milling activities to Dan Aller Holding a part of the DLA Group. This has freed us up to focus exclusively on Aller Petfood.... The potential in the pet food market demonstrates that this is where our energies should lie – and although we may be sad about letting go of the feedmill side, we’re facing the future with renewed vigour and confidence!

Private labels

Aller Petfood Russia produces pet food under private brand names owned by chains of retail stores or large wholesale companies.

This method was chosen in order to offer pet owners a good-quality product, the cost of which does not include marketing and advertising expenses, through pet foods with a wide advertising support. Products made from natural ingredients offer the same quality as similar products of leading pet food manufacturers and the price is 15–20% lower.

Every company client is offered a specific product recipe and the company then helps select the necessary range and packaging, is involved in developing the packaging design, manufactures the packaging and supplies the finished product under a private brand name. Aller Petfood guarantees a competitive price, consistent quality and the prompt delivery of the product in the agreed amounts. Apart from providing all of the necessary documents confirming the quality of the product, the company constantly monitors changes in the requirements of Russian legislation and does everything it can to ensure the uninterrupted supply of the product to our customers.

Furthermore, Aller Petfood always monitors the situation on the pet food market and offers its customers the necessary product improvements in terms of content and packaging.
